For nearly a decade now, Cancer Chat has been very much part of my life and you are the most inspiring community ever. I’ve cried and laughed with you over the years and I decided it was time I would try the Race for Life even though I am not an experienced runner. Well not only did I run (most of the way 
) but my friend and I raised nearly £500.
But really every step of the way, you were all in my mind.

Thank you too from the bottom of my heart Lucie. This forum has helped me keep my sanity during my own treatment and now my daughters ongoing treatment just 12 months later.
I ran the Race for Life last year myself and the atmosphere at the event is amazing.
I’ve made some good friends on here and they are always around when you need them. Always wise words from Chriss, and Marlyn you too are an inspiration to me.

Well done Lucie; such a worthwhile cause and great achievement to run it! I have done it three times but only ever managed fast walking pace but, you know what, taking part was all that matters and the one completed with my daughter in memory of my hubby and her Dad was an emotional rollercoaster before, during and at the finish line when I caught up with her!! The money raised is so, so worth the pain ha ha.
