Radian6 Shines New Light on Social Media Monitoring
After attending SBMU Columbus, Sage discovers the true value of Radian6, a social media monitoring tool. Radian6 provides a pervasive and in-depth picture of social media conversations happening across the entire web. It allows you to track and do analysis on whatever keywords or phrases you choose, so you can monitor your company, your brands, your products and/or your competitors’ brands, products, etc. As a higher end tool, Radian6 is not free nor cheap, but Sage feels that it is absolutely worth the value.
Video blogger Sage Lewis keeps you up to date with what’s hot in the world of search marketing and social media.

Hey there Sage,
Thanks for sharing this. You are getting me psyched up to do a video on a cool new feature coming out this weekend. After your great preso last week on video blogging at SBMU I should be all set.
Cheers and thanks for sharing this.
David
Hi David,
I’m pretty excited about the prospects of Radian6.
I would love to see some videos put out by you. I’m sure they would be awesome. You have quite the visual arts eye.
Take care,
Sage
Hey Sage,
Great video. After trying the tool, would you say there’s much more you can do with Radian 6 than with things like google trends etc?
Cheers,
Dave
Hi Dave,
I am actually going through the training session for Radian6 today. I’ll then be able to really get involved in it and hopefully give a follow-up report.
It will be interesting to compare the data from Radian6 and Google Trends.
Talk more soon…
Sage
Hi Sage,
We are actually starting a buzz marketing company that is very similar to Radian6. We help companies monitor and get involved in relevant online conversations. The biggest difference between us is the price. Since we focus more on small and medium business, our fees are much lower.
Right now we are working as an agency but we will be releasing a consumer version of our software within the next couple months.

Hi Sage,
My company was impressed with Radian6 when we were investigating social media monitoring tools, but I’m wondering if I’ve missed any others that could fit our needs. Any other tools you’ve looked at? Check out my blog post if you’d like to see what we found during our search: http://bit.ly/2bwQ49
Hi David,
Nice review of these tools. I haven’t looked closely at all of these. But I’m considering doing a series on these things.
I like your overviews a lot.
Thanks Sage. I’d love to see the series. Have you checked out Techrigy’s SM2? I didn’t like the interface much (I think they just used the Google Analytics framework) and it’s rather slow, but you can get a free account for 1000 results and it lets you track back to a year’s worth of data (as opposed to 30 days for you know who).
David
Hi David,
I’ve been thinking more about this. I think this might be an interesting series. I haven’t checked that one out yet. But I definitely will.
Thanks for the ideas!
Sage
