does anyone actually read Google profiles? I have been an Internet addict but I’ve never looked on anyone’s profile ever. lol.
Hi Sage,
Thanks for the last update.
We’ve been all talking about personalization and how personal search and will play a role in the future. I do believe this is another clever action from Google in order to be one of the first in personal search world. It won’t only provide personal data which will used by Google but also will take social media and personalization to the next level.
All the best,
Velit
Great video, Sage. While I feel that there’s potential for Google Profiles, it’s just not the most useful service in its present form. There are more than 125 people with my name who have a Google Profile. Wouldn’t it be better just to have a “Google Me” button that brings up only your search results? Vizibility just launched in January and offers this for free.
For example, I can be one-click Googled at . I have put this link on my LinkedIn page under the tag “Google Me”. It is in my email signature and on other online profiles as well. When anyone clicks this link, I get a text message that I was just searched. The advantage of this approach, called PreSearch, is that a complex search can be put under a small, portable URL. This can be a big timesaver for everyone and might even help individuals realize that there is something undesirable online that they need to pull down.
