FAQ
Research has shown bone broth can help:
Studies also show that bone broth helps boost the immune system and heal disorders like allergies, asthma, and arthritis. This is thanks to the high levels of proteins (like collagen) and amino acids present in bones and bone marrow. When cooked for long periods of time (like we do), nutrients like glutamine, glycine, glucosamine, collagen, calcium soak into the broth. The end result is a super-healthy, gut-healing drink unlike any other.
We slow-simmer our organic or 100% grass-fed bones for 24+ hours on low heat, along with organic vegetables and a few spices. This long cook process ensures that the nutrients and amino acids in the bones break down to create the high-protein, highly nutritious bone broth we are known for.

Studies have shown that bone broth helps with skin health (thanks to high levels of collagen and glutamine), gut health (thanks to glycine that helps heal and seal the lining of the gut), joint health (thanks to amino acids like glucosamine), and reduces inflammation.
Unlike meats and vegetables, bone broth contains TONS of healthy amino acids that bones, marrow, and connective tissue is rich in. When slow-simmered for hours, these healthy proteins and amino acids soak into the bone broth and make their way into your body. This is why many of our customers have seen improvements in their joint pains and digestive health from having just a cup a day.

Kettle & Fire is made from real bones, real ingredients and long cook times. Most store-bought broth (often labeled “stock”) from the grocery store uses a mash of bone paste or poor-quality cuts of meat and cooks their broth at high temperatures. This results in a watered down, non-gelling broth that’s missing the amino acid and protein benefits of a real bone broth. In fact, next time you’re at the grocery store, check the ingredients panel – many of these “broths” don’t even use bones!

The two first ingredients in all of our Bone Broths are water and bones. We use filtered water and grass-fed beef bones and organic chicken bones. Next, cue a mix of organic veggies and spices. Also, don’t forget the apple cider vinegar which is added during the cooking process to help get the good stuff from the bones.
Help Articles:
Bone broth contains TONS of glycine and glutamine, two key amino acids that help remedy “leaky gut” and other digestive issues. The amino acids (especially glycine) keep the lining of the intestinal wall intact and strong. This means better digestion, and no particles leaking into the bloodstream!

We like to drink a mug of it, just like you would coffee or tea. In fact, warming up a cup of broth and adding a pinch of salt to taste is a great way to start your morning—try drinking 8 ounces a day, every day. Of course, you can use it in recipes wherever it calls for broth or stock, or turn it into a base for your favorite soup.
Once you open your bone broth, just pop it in the fridge. After being opened, it will stay good for 7-10 days.
