Hope everyone is doing ok?
i was just wondering if anyone has any experience of having a polyp removed from cervix please?
i had a large polyp removed from my cervix 11 days ago and just waiting on my results. My aftercare was very vague, mentioned some mild pain and discharge for a couple of days and told to avoid sex and Tampons for couple weeks.
Anyway I had experienced light bleeding for one week after the removal, so did ring doctors to see if that was normal, they didn’t seem concerned and told me to just keep an eye on it and only ring back if it’s very heavy or if I have a fever. The bleeding stopped on Friday morning (thank goodness) but I started my period on Saturday night which is much heavier and more painful that what’s normal for me. So wonder if it’s encouraging my cervix to bleed as well maybe. It’s not heavy enough to be worried, but I’m used to light periods normally , so I’m uncomfortable as can’t use tampons at the moment.
So was wondering if anyone else would be able to share their experiences please. I was expecting to be healed by now.

I’m sorry to hear that you’re struggling with some bleeding problems since your recent procedure. It can take some time for things to heal and it may be that your normal cycle has caused this to take a little longer.
If you’re still struggling then do get in touch with your GP who will be able to offer some advice or arrange to see you if necessary.
I hope things improve soon and that you don’t have to wait too long for your results.
