I had a FIT test and blood tests almost three weeks ago. Doctor called saying that bloods are all ok but I have a slightly elevated poo sample which was number 8. Saying also the test goes upto 100. During the conversation I only heard slightly elevated and my mind went blank. I concerned what this means.

I can understand your concerns – I’m not sure if the doctor is planning to speak to you again about your results, but if not and you still have questions then the best thing to do is to give them a call to get things clarified. It often helps to make a note of anything they say while speaking to them, as it’s quite common to forget things afterwards.

Thank you. She did say I was going to be seen and they would perhaps ring me first. She did mention diviculites may be but the on,y bit of hope my friends husband result came back as 6 and they are leaving him for another two years. So hoping it nothing sinister.

No I still waiting for a phone call or appointment at the hospital. Mine was slightly elevated to 8 apparently the highest number is 100. Did your doctor give you a number it was elevated to ?

No, got to ring up tomorrow. The doctor who commented isn’t even dealing with my case. I can’t see it being too high as he’s used the word ‘mildly’. I have an appointment with colorectal dept anyway as they think I have IBS. Just hate ambiguity in stuff like this as it caused unneeded stress. Please keep me updated on your case.

It’s when you hear elevated you just start to worry. I’ve had a horrible tummy ( it grumbles a lot. No pain though) for almost all of Feb. Then this past few days fingers crossed it’s back to normal. Fingers crossed for you keep me updated on your case as well.

There was another positive I thought I’ve not lost any weight and also no bleeding anywhere and all my bloods were ok. I always say it your body but you don’t know what’s going on inside. Take care

Hi there, had my appointment at the hospital on Wed, they are going to do a CT scan on my stomach. Surgeon gave me a stomach examination and said he couldn’t feel anything untoward. He said that combined with all clear test results would illustrate nothing to worry about. He doesn’t expect the CT scan to come back with any issues. He was quite firm with me which is possibly what I needed as I’d worked myself into a frenzy this last few months. Just need to wait for the appointment to come through. Many thanks for checking in.
