You have an excellent way of sharing your ideas with us readers. Your message hit home to me in a way that I didn’t realize. I agree with you and will use more of my efforts on my circle of influense..that’s it! Thanks again for the wake up call!
Wow that was great. I often spend too much time on forums (and blogs haha) and not enough time doing what needs to be done.

Well thank you all so much for these very kind thoughts.
Sometimes I do videos like this one as much for myself as for possibly helping others. I’ve been so obsessed with the news recently. I have to remember to get back to focusing on things that I truly can influence.
Thanks again and take care,
Sage
Thank you for the “Wake Up Call,” as it were. I know I personally spend so much time watching the news, thinking about the news and fretting about the news that it’s not doing me any good. All I can do is continue to work hard at what I do and be a positive influence in my own life.
Well, here is a thing – you can use the circle of influence to influence the stuff in the circle of concern. And that is because humanity is a big network and everyone is connected to everyone else in the world via everyone else whether you realise it or not. So you can influence the people around you, and they influence the people around them and so on and so on until you eventually influence the people who are making the things in the circle of concern.
You are absolutely right!
We all need to sit tight and ride out the storm – adjust your ‘influence’ circle to what you can do to protect yourself, your business and your family. All we can do is fit ourselves to the condidions that are and make the best of it within our own world.
Thanks Roberta!
This is a hard lesson to learn. But keeping this lesson in the back of our mind will make us feel less stress and more in control of our lives.
Take care,
Sage
Thanks for sharing. I think sometimes it’s best to let go of the things we can’t control and work on the things we can change.
Hi Sage,
I think you do make some good points but I think sometimes our circle of influence goes beyond what we think it can. you talk about the economy and the war and Turbo tax Tim Geithner as not being in our circle of influence but the time will come when it will intersect with our circle of influence , Such as Voting day. There are many things such as that to keep in mind. Lets not just stick our head in the sand and say we can’t do anything about it so why try. Just be smart about it and wait for the opportunity to put the pressure where needed.

Our influence needs to be to help ourselves and our family to become financially responsible. That’s the best thing we can do.

The line between circle of influence and circle of concern is definitely not well demarcated. At times one circle crosses into another and we really can’t help it. But when trying to focus on, it is really good if you concentrate first on things that you can control and that will move things faster.

Wow. You are all profound and thoughtful.
I think you have really summed it up well.
One of the responsibilities of living in a democracy is the requirement of being informed. It’s a necessity in order to put the best people in office.
However, obsessing about it to the point where the day-to-day things you can control start to slip… either because your attention is outside of your own life (obsessing about the news, etc.) or the troubles of the world weigh on you so heavily that you are too depressed to act otherwise.
I guess you just have to be kind and sensitive to yourself. If you are finding the troubles of the world-at-large are harming your life, you need to know that it’s ok and appropriate to let it go for a while.
I really didn’t need to say any of this as you all have really summed it up the same way, I think.
