Last year our Cancer Research UK charity shops across the UK raised an incredible £80 million – this wouldn’t have been possible without our fantastic volunteers.

As a customer service assistant, you’ll be the face of Cancer Research UK and help ensure that our customers receive a warm welcome to our shops!
Are you a great team player with a love of interacting with people and a passion for Cancer Research UK? Look no further! If you enjoy building relationships with people and like to go the extra mile when it comes to customer service, this is the role for you.
As a Volunteer Visual Merchandiser you’ll help us to select and prepare the best clothes, shoes and accessories for sale on the shop floor. You’ll create eye catching window displays and may also be asked to help price garments to generate maximum income.
If you’re creative with a passion for fashion and an eye for design, then this could be the perfect role for you!
This is a varied and responsible role where you’ll be supporting the Shop Manager with the day-to-day running of the shop. You’ll be encouraged to lead on new projects and you may also be asked to provide cover when the manager is absent from the shop.
If you’re a natural team leader and problem solver with great communication skills and previous management experience, this could be the ideal role for you. We’re looking for volunteers who would feel confident working independently and are able to contribute to creating a positive and friendly atmosphere in store.

Our admin volunteers work behind the scenes to help support our Shop Managers with the smooth running of our shops. You may be assisting the manager with a range of activities such as stocktaking, dealing with customer enquiries and promoting the Gift Aid scheme
If you’re well organised, methodical and enjoy communicating with a wide range of people then this could be the role for you. IT skills and experience of Microsoft Office would give you a head start, but full training will be given in the role.
