Hi folks,
A week ago, I had a sore nipple (which I know can be a sign of your period but I don’t get it normally) and felt a lump under my breast and have been worrying since. Because of Covid, I can’t even see a GP straight away… the earliest a doctor can call me is next Friday apparently, so that’s a 2 week wait before they can even book me in for a face-to-face consult. And then it’ll be another 2 week wait if I need a breast clinic referral appointment.
I’ve come on here for support because I don’t want to worry my family if there’s nothing to be worried about.
I’m 29 and don’t have kids yet so its not a problem with the nipple ducts, which brings similar symptoms so I’m currently thinking its the big C and in the meantime I’m having interviews for new jobs and worrying that if they want me, I’d be taking time off for appointments and such.
Thanks for reading my concerns.

Hi saffy! I’m also 29 and kind of going through the same thing. I’ve been noticing changes in my breasts for about two months and finally went to the doctors a week ago. I’m waiting for my appointment with the breast clinic to come through! I feel so anxious about it all , and I just have a horrible feeling. Just trying to stay positive , I think I’ll feel better once this appointment comes through! Try not to worry (I know it’s almost impossible) xxxx

Just wanted to pop on here and say, I spoke to a GP who said I should wait a week to see if it was period hormones, and was made an appointment for a breast exam Friday just gone. The GP said she could feel what I was feeling (a mass of tissue and a patch of little ones). She doesn’t think it’s cancer but has referred me for a “2 week wait pathway” appointment at my local breast clinic. They called the same day and have organised it for Friday 30th October.
I’m going to try not to stress about it and won’t be telling my family until I know there’s something to worry about.
