Hello,
An out of hours GP confirmed that there’s a lump in my left breast. I’m going to call my GP tomorrow and ask them for the referral.
I’m 26 years old and suffer from anxiety. I haven’t been able to keep a positive mind.
Any ideas how long it may take for the breast clinic to see me? Also the GP didn’t say much on what the lump might, just that there’s ‘something’ there.
Am I overreacting?

Hey!
I thought I would reply because I’m 26 too, and I had just had my breast clinic appointment last Friday.
I was referred around the 26th of February. My doctor told me that they typically see patients within two weeks of being referred. This is the same for urgent and non-urgent cases. They don’t want you to be anxious, so they try to see you quickly.
A side note, it is very uncommon in people our age so try not to worry too much. I panicked a fair bit because I was expecting them to say it was nothing and not even refer me, but I know they are just doing their due diligence.
