There are no compelling reasons to spend big in the early days on AWS, Google Cloud, Azure etc till you scale not just users but also revenue. The free tier products and services of these cloud service providers are as good as having no cloud servers and their billing system is very hard to predict (a surge in the bill can reach $500–$600 / month with a small surge in usage). For instance, in free tier products, your installed application may go down anytime or some of your services may go down when you make lot of requests while testing your application. At the same time paid components are really good for auto scaling, security of resources, in-built automation, serverless architecture support and 99.9% uptime.
