PPC Tip: Search Terms Tell You Loads About Intent
The folks over at PPC Hero are doing a new series this week on paid search advertising called “Learn to Think and Search Like Your Customers.” Their goal is to break down the different areas of paid search campaigns and to help you learn how taking the time to really consider your customer can help you position your product to be THE answer to their search.
John launches the week long series today. His first post points out that it all starts with understanding your customer:
John goes on to offer up some solid examples of how certain keyword phrases give you insight into the person running the search. He also explains how you can use this insight to write ad text and landing pages that are more likely to convert your clicks into purchases.

Jennifer,
Sorry for the late reply! Thanks for the great write up and mention of PPC Hero. The series on thinking like a searcher was our most cerebral work to date. But it was a great exercise for ourselves as PPC managers and hope that our readers were able to apply that knowledge to their management practices, too.
Once again – thanks for the mention!
In the Internet there are different search engines. Today torrents, mp 3, pdf files and rapidshare search engines are very popular. Could you explain the mechanism of their work. I know that they find different links in the Internet and organize them in one system. But I can’t understand who is eager to pay for such work. These are not the users who pay because the links are free and besides there are no ads on the search engine. How is it possible to make money on them and where is it possible to read about it? I’ll be very thankful to get any information.
